As the Summer Game Fest 2024, the most important event of the year in the world of video games in terms of announcements, more and more news is announced. In this case, the well-known free games distributor My.Games announced the formation of a new distributor called Knights Peakdedicated to premium titles with a focus on current-gen console games and PC.
As part of the announcement of this new distributor, Knights Peak revealed five of the games that will be part of its list of titles. The first of them will be the one already announced Starship Troopers: Exterminationa game based on the science fiction franchise that is already in Early Access in Steam. Among the new announcements, the company presented Nikoderiko: The Magical Worlda platform developed by SEE Games which will feature the participation of the composer David Wiseof Donkey Kong Countryand it will come PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC at the end of this year. Knights Peak also presented news about Mandrakethe 2.5D soulslike of Primal Game Studioswhich will be released at the end of 2024 for PC and consoles. Finally, two games already released will move to the new distributor: the RPG Pathfinder: Kingmakerand the action and adventure game Blast Brigade vs. the Evil Legion of Dr. Cread.
As to Starship Troopers: Extermination, the company presented several new details about the game. Initially, the game revealed its release date for October 11 of this year. In addition, the game will add a single-player campaign to its multiplayer mode, with a special detail. The actor Casper Van Dien, who plays the character Johnny Rico in the films, will be part of this campaign. Later this month the game will also receive an update for its version of Early Access, called Carnage on Planet X-11. This new version will introduce the Carnage System, which will allow the game to display an almost infinite number of dead insects on the screen, in addition to more realistic strategic elements and a new planet.
Starship Troopers: Extermination will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC.
