Google has launched a advertising network for streaming channels that offer the Google TV devices, This will allow advertisers to implement in-stream ads that cannot be skipped on more than 125 channels integrated into Google TV.

Google TV is the Google content streaming platform which can be accessed through Chromecast devices and smart televisions that use the operating system Android TV. Specifically, this service makes it easy to watch movies, shows and live television from more than 10,000 applicationsas well as including features like Google Assistant and personalized entertainment recommendations for viewers.

In this framework, the technology giant has shared its intention to Provide advertisers with a new way to reach more viewers, in this case, through users’ televisions. For this, Google has announced the launch of the Google TV network, with which it provides advertisers with a in-stream video inventory on more than 125 channels integrated into Google TVincluding television shows, movies and sports.

As the company explained in a statement on its blog, these ads will be targeting more than 20 million monthly active devices from Google TV and other Android TV devices.

Specifically, the network includes formats of “basic CTV ads” that cannot be omitted. That is, a form of digital advertising that appears in streaming content. For example, one of the ad formats included in this network are “bumper” ads, which last 6 seconds.

Thus, as Google has indicated on its help page, ads can be displayed on the Google TV header or in eligible video streaming apps available on the platform.

With all this, the company has detailed that the Google TV network now available through Google Ads and Google Display & Video 360allowing advertisers to “plan, buy and measure their Google TV campaigns alongside their existing digital video campaigns.”

To set up the video campaign on Google TV, advertisers will need to select the Google TV network along with YouTube to “maximize your reach.” This is because, along with YouTube, viewers expand to more than 150 million monthly assets, as detailed by the technology company.
