Opera has announced that its Opera One browser is now available for Windows computers powered by an Arm processor, a native format optimized to improve the speed, efficiency and battery life of the device.

The company has explained that this browser optimization, achieved with the support of Microsoft’s App Assure team and Qualcomm Technologies, has resulted in a four-fold increase in performance compared to the Opera emulator.

The new native Opera One browser for Windows computers powered by Arm chips therefore combines with Opera’s battery saving mode to “significantly” increase browsing time on a single charge, the company explained in a statement. .

This is also because the Arm architecture, with its Reduced Instruction Set (RISC), executes smaller and faster instructions than traditional x86 processors with Complex Instruction Sets (CSIC).

On the other hand, Opera has commented that the download of its browser is done automatically on Windows devices based on Arm processors without the need to make additional configurations.
