This year’s Xbox Showcase had the attention of half the world, being the first major presentation that includes Activision Blizzard as part of Microsoft. And the company was more than aware of the expectations, describing the showcase as “our biggest moment of the year to showcase the future of Xbox gaming.”
In addition to announcements of expected games such as the new Doom and Gears of War, Xbox presented new versions of the current Series X and S consoles, but no laptops or Pro versions.
Doom: The Dark Ages
id Software presented the next installment of Doom, Doom: The Dark Ageswhich appears to tell the main character’s origin story within a medieval setting – but being Doom There will still be technology. They intend to launch it in 2025 on PC, Xbox Series and even PS5, it will also come to Xbox Game Pass.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
In addition to presenting the first trailer in the form of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Xbox dedicated its own broadcast to him at the end of the main showcase. Gears of War E-Day

Unlike GoW Judgment also set 14 years before the first game and focusing on supporting characters Damon Baird and Agusutus Cole, E-Day brings back Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago, the titular characters of the first three gears of war. There is no release date yet, but whenever it arrives it will also be available on the Xbox Game Pass service, and apparently it will continue as an exclusive to Xbox consoles.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
Konami showed the first trailer with gameplay of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eaterthe remake of Metal Gear 3 from 2004. The video shows off modern controls and the degree to which it is respecting the levels of the original version. It was previously slated to come out sometime that year, but Konami stopped offering a release window.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle by the MachineGames and Bethesda studio, was finally fully shown in action, and although it will be a completely original story, the trailer showed that it will resort to recreating one or another classic scene from the movies but in a context different. The launch window continues for this year and it will be an exclusive on the Xbox console.
Xbox Series X Digital
Despite all the rumors and noise that Microsoft would in one way or another talk about its new generation of consoles or a laptop, what they ended up announcing was a digital version without a disc reader of the Xbox Series X console in white and with 2TB of space. They also announced a white version of the 1TB Xbox Series S of which they launched a black version less than a year ago. Finally, they announced a special edition in “galaxy black” of Series
South of Midnight
It seems that the Compulsion Games studio learned from its mistakes with We Happy Few. Your new game South of MIdnight leaves survival aside to tell a southern fantasy story set in a hurricane-hit swamp. It will be released sometime in 2025 on Xbox and PC.
Perfect Dark
Four years after announcing the reboot of the Perfect Dark series, the first trailer with game mechanics was finally shown, and at least the video did not disappoint fans of the franchise who have been waiting for a new installment for 24 years — if not we count the remastering in 2010 of the first Perfect Dark.
