Galvanic Games is closing eight months after the launch of Wizard with a Gun

Although many of the layoffs we have seen in 2024 have been from large companies eliminating or reducing teams, we have also seen smaller, independent teams suffer the consequences of the current crisis. Galvanic Games It was the last of them.

The creators of the recent Wizard with a Gun have announced the closure of the studio with a message on social networks. Its CEO and founder, Patrick Morgan, says that sales of the game (launched in October 2023) have not been strong enough to continue supporting the team. He also claims that at the Game Developers Conference they outlined a possible deal with DICE, but it seems it didn’t come to fruition quickly enough.

“I will never get over the irony of spending a decade building my dream team, only to have it end after our most productive year. The dedication, creativity and hard work of every person on our team has been nothing short of extraordinary.”

Morgan has also compiled a list of LinkedIn profiles to ease the transition of his team members to other studios.
