Leaker @smashx_60 has shared another round of details about the HMD Skyline, a smartphone believed to be HMD Global’s first attempt at bringing back the classic Nokia Lumia styling. Previously, Account Additionally, the leaker has posted several rendered images, some of which we have embedded throughout this article.

Now, @smashx_60 has expanded the information on the launch price planned by HMD Global, while also outlining the technical support period promised by the company. The HMD Skyline will supposedly receive three years of Android updates, a far cry from Google and Samsung’s seven-year commitments. Additionally, @smashx_60 claims that HMD Global will only deliver security patches during the same period, without an additional year of security coverage like many Android OEMs offer. In contrast, the HMD Skyline Business Edition (BE) is said to be in line for five years of security patch support, albeit with a higher introductory price.

Ultimately, all variants of the HMD Skyline are likely to end up on Android 17, given the high probability, based on previous results, that HMD Global will launch the device running Android 14. HMD Global will reportedly sell the HMD Skyline BE in a single black variant for 520 euros with 8 GB of RAM and 256 of storage. In contrast, the consumer versions are said to be available in four color options, each with a choice between 8GB and 12GB of RAM but only 256GB of storage. Currently, HMD Global is expected to put the HMD Skyline on sale in mid-July for 459 euros with 8 GB of RAM and 499 euros for its optional 12 GB RAM variant.
