World of Warcraft is perhaps the best example of what they call “expansion game.” A title that has been a benchmark for almost two decades, considered one of the best MMORPGs in history, and managing to bring together a more than loyal community, which pays a monthly subscription to be able to enjoy this title. This means that Blizzard continues to support it with content and complete expansions from time to time, and precisely in this year 2024. We will receive one of the most anticipated in a long time: The War Witin. This expansion, which recently revealed its release date, will apparently add a lot of content, but it will also allow us to enjoy what Blizzard has described as “a story mode.”
Clearly, and as you may have thought from the beginning, There is already a story in World of Warcraft, but much of it is almost impossible to complete in single player mode due to the difficulty of some raids. To alleviate this, with this expansion a new difficulty mode will be introduced, known as story mode, which will allow users to complete raids at a lower difficulty.
Unfortunately, this modality It will only affect the raids of The War Within expansion, which has disappointed many users. Even so, we should not lose hope, given that Morgan Day, one of those responsible for the project, has stated in an interview for PC Gamer that there are possibilities for this modality to be expanded in the future.
It could reach classic World of Warcraft content
As confirmed by this person in charge, the possibility of expanding the aforementioned story mode to the full extent of World of Warcraft raids is on the table, but he has not given many details about it either. Even so, we must mention that he has pointed out that The team’s current priority is to bring this mode to the raids offered in The War Withinand that any other implementation will have to wait for now.
Even with all this, we can say that Morgan Day has given hope to many users. For now, the best we can do is wait until The War Within will be released on August 26.
