Nothing continues its expansion. Although the Nothing Phone (3) with integrated AI is not expected until 2025, that does not mean that the company has nothing to present in the remainder of the year. Now the focus is on its CMF brand.
CMF was born as a sub-brand of Nothing focused on cheaper devices; although its CEO Carl Pei made it very clear that a lower price does not mean losing quality, but rather that they are products aimed at another type of audience. Like its parent company, CMF entered the market with CMF Buds headphones, but also expanded into wearables with the CMF Watch Pro watch.
Now, it is CMF’s turn to enter the smartphone sector, with the CMF Phone 1. A device that will follow the design lines of the rest of the range, with very striking colors, but also with additions that we had not seen in no other mobile, like a rear wheel whose function is still a mystery.
We won’t have to wait long to find out, because Nothing has just announced the release date of the CMF Phone 1: next July 8. It will be then when the company finally reveals the secrets of the brand’s first mobile phone, but that will not be the only thing it talks about.
In addition, the presentation of the CMF Watch Pro 2 and CMF Buds Pro 2. Therefore, just a few months after its launch in Spain, CMF will renew its range of products with a second generation; the Watch Pro 2 will be a new smartwatch, while the Buds Pro 2 will be new wireless headphones. The details of these new devices are non-existent, but it is expected that they will come with improvements in most sections. Although CMF has only been in Spain for a short time, it was actually in September 2023 when it presented its first products, so it makes sense that they are already going to be renewed.
Regarding the CMF Phone 1, rumors speak of a mobile phone with a 6.67-inch screen, FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Inside, a Dimensity 7300 processor is expected, which could be accompanied 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM memory. The price will be the key to this mobile; The leak from India proposed a starting price of 19,999 rupees, approximately 224 euros, which would make it very competitive among mid/low-range mobile phones.
