The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom has been the most talked about game of yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, because no one expected that Nintendo would have a game of Zelda totally new, at this point in the Switch’s life, and after Zelda Tears of the Kingdon, which seemed to be the console’s swan song.

Eiji Aonumaproducer of the saga (the game is suspected to be the work of Grezzo) gave a few details, not many, but that’s okay because its launch is just around the corner, the September 26.

They didn’t say anything if there would be amiibo figures, but on the Japanese website, the amiibo logo clearly appears, so, unless it’s a mistake, the new Zelda will use the NFC figures, which turn ten years old in 2024.

Zelda fans are salivating for a princess amiibo in Echoes of Wisdom

Since it was announced, fans have fallen in love with Princess Zelda, who will be playable for the first time, and the absolute protagonist of the game, who will use a magic wand with which she can create replicas or “echoes” of objects.

And it’s so cute… The game reuses the art style of the 2019 Link’s Awakening remake, with the characters looking like pinypon dolls.

Curiously, Link’s Awakening did not feature Zelda, so although they repeat the graphic style, it is the first time we see Princess Zelda in this way… and fans have cried out on Twitter that they want an amiibo, which is possibly make it come true.

Fans are also starting to theorize where in the chronology this Echoes of Wisdom is set, which appears to be a direct sequel to A Link to the Past and A Link Between Worlds, or at least has the same Hyrule…

Zelda Link’s Awakening had her own Link amiibo figure, so it’s only fair that Zelda gets another one. The amiibo had an interesting use: you could use it to save the dungeons you designed and thus take them with you to share them on the Switches you wanted.

In the end, it doesn’t matter: what fans want is a figurine of the adorable little princess Zelda with the magic wand, to commemorate the first game in almost 40 years of the saga starring Zelda.
