Artificial intelligence (AI) dominates most of the news and conversations these days. How far can your autonomy go? What will you be able to do in the future? What are the opportunities it opens in science and medical research? Magazine AI It was born to provide answers about its advances, changes and the profound transformation that AI is causing in the way people work, live and relate to each other. On Friday the 28th it is published free along with the printed editions of EL PAÍS and Cinco Días. Afterwards, the magazine will go on sale for a month, starting Wednesday, July 3, at a price of 3 euros.

This issue has as an introduction a glossary with the definition of key terms to understand what AI is, what it is like and what it is for. For example, algorithm, Big Data, Generative AI or Discriminative AI. This is followed by a section with 16 basic contexts and scenarios for the projection of AI such as scientific discoveries, ethics, art, wealth or business performance.

Also, it has interviews with Carissa Véliz, a philosopher expert in privacy and ethical dilemmas of technology; Roxana Daneshjou, expert in the application of AI in dermatology; and Alicia Troncoso, president of the Spanish Association for Artificial Intelligence.

In addition, it includes different sections that AI covers: history, education, economy, industry, energy, SMEs, defense, geopolitics, art, culture, sports and security, with an interview with David Ríos, an authority on adversarial machine learning. He also develops more information about her assistive abilities (secretary, messenger, advisor, and even friend, therapist, or lover) and her applications (translating, assisting, programming, hunting other AIs, and creating).

It has an opinion section in which lawyer Cristina Villasante analyzes the first comprehensive legislation: the European one. The director of Retina, Jaime García Cantero, closes the issue with his opinion article ‘The mirror of angry and scared white men’.
