Atari through its publishing and distribution subsidiary Infogramsannounced the acquisition of the franchise Surgeon Simulator. This popular medical surgery simulator combines first-person transplants and dark humor in bizarre and unexpected surgical scenarios.

The franchise began with the release of Surgeon Simulator for PC in 2013. The original game received several updates and had ports to cell phones and Playstation 4 in 2014. In 2016, Surgeon Simulator VR: Meet The Medic brought the experience to virtual reality in Playstation 4 and Windows. The series also reached Nintendo Switch in 2018 with Surgeon Simulator CPRAnd finally a brand new sequel with four-player online co-op arrived with Surgeon Simulator 2: Access All Areaswhich was launched in PC in 2020 and in Xbox in 2021.

Surgeon Simulator is the second casual multiplayer simulator added to the portfolio of Infograms so far in 2024. In the month of April, it was also acquired Totally Reliable Delivery Service. Infograms plans to expand distribution of Surgeon Simulatordevelop new titles or content and explore brand collaborations and merchandising as part of a long-term plan to preserve and expand the franchise.
