It will soon be time for another foldable phone to hit the market, the Xiaomi MIX 5, and when it does, it will likely have an under-display camera. It could also feature a ceramic body and finish.
Xiaomi MIX 5 could arrive with a camera under the screen, but it is not confirmed
According to Digital Chat Station, An alleged prototype of the Xiaomi MIX 5 was seen on Geekbench 6. The codename of this prototype is “Suiren” and it is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This is probably one of the first test devices this year, hence the use of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.
Of course, Digital Chat Station claims that the device may come with a ceramic construction, like the previous MIX series. This is an existing tradition of the Xiaomi MIX series and it is expected to continue with the Xiaomi MIX 5.
Unfortunately, it is not yet confirmed whether the device will be presented or not. This is because nothing is known about their specifications, only what has been collected from these prototypes. Surely, as the date of the Snapdragon Summit approaches we will have more news.
After all, when the MIX 5 launches with this under-display camera, it will most likely do so with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor.
