One of the great references of trap and drill arrived for the first time in our country, he is the Spanish-Moroccan artist Beny Jrwho started in music in 2018 with his friends from the neighborhood, but it was not until 2020 that he published his first studio album Trap and Love. From there, his career was on the rise, and to date he has a long list of albums and singles. His visit to our country will not be short, there are three completely sold out dates in which he will perform at the Coliseum Theatre. .
This June 27th It was the great debut of the artist in our country, the 10 minutes of waiting for his departure became eternal for the fans, the same ones who formed very early outside the theater to have the best place to see the teenage idol. The long-awaited moment had finally arrived, Benny He took the stage hooded as usual, starting the night with “Damned” a song very faithful to the artist’s style, lyrics that reflect his life experiences, belonging to one of his first projects Samurai. As soon as he finished, he greeted the audience, and continued with “No Cap” and “Loneliness bores but does not betray”. At the end of “Affalterbach” The artist leaves the stage for the first time, leaving the place in complete silence.
After minutes of uncertainty where the theater was completely dark, the second block of the concert began with shouts and applause, where lively songs were perfectly mixed with the most faithful to the trap and drill style. Here, songs like “Tell me if you want to see me”, “The price of money” and “So bad” They made everyone enjoy it, but the one that caused complete madness was “Full moon” a very different one from what we are used to hearing from the artist, but which the fans sang along to from start to finish.
Despite not having much support on stage, Beny pleased the fans with his presence and his lyrics. During the show the artist was able to interact constantly with the audience, but what no one expected was to hear the musician include Chilean words in his prayers, which drew applause and a few shouts every time he included them.
After a final costume change, Beny He took the stage completely dressed in black to give way to the third and final block of the night, which made the theater shake with the chorus of the fans, because the time had come for the most famous songs and without a doubt the favorites of the audience. The one chosen to start was “Walking” a collaboration with his great friend and life partner The Morad. And the union of these two is undoubtedly acclaimed by fans, as the next two songs on the setlist are also together. This first night was coming to an end, and they could not be left out of the setlist. “Flow 2000” and “Follow” songs full of energy, that made more than one person dance. This was the first of three great nights that Beny Jr. will give his Chilean fans, without a doubt his time in our country will remain in the memories of each and every one of the young people who came to the place.
