The arrival of the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake is getting closer and now one of its producers has revealed that It would be a dream to work with Kojima again in an installment of the popular saga.

As part of the YouTube video series Metal Gear – Production Hotline, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater producer Noriaki Okamura was asked if there was any chance of the original developers returning to work on Konami’s franchise.

“It is not my place to answer on behalf of anyone outside the company, or to guess how they will feel about this,” he said, adding that “I would love nothing more than to work with Mr. Kojima and the rest of the team again. If that could happen, that would be the dream.”

Despite this, as he mentions, he knows that it is difficult for this to happen given that “people have adopted new things and new commitments,” and pointing out that Konami “cannot simply assume that everyone would work with us again, or let ourselves go and depend completely on them.”

“I just don’t think it’s right for us to be the ones to demand that kind of thing from anyone. So we work with the expectation that whatever we do, it’s up to us, it’s on our shoulders to do a good job,” the producer concluded.

Although Kojima will not be a part of the game, he will appear in the credits, along with the rest of the original developers. “They are also part of these games, so they are absolutely in it,” says Okamura.
