As previous leaks have suggested, the HMD Skyline is a facsimile of classic Lumia devices like the Nokia Lumia 920. In other words, the device has a boxy design with rounded sides but flat top and bottom edges similar to recent Galaxy S ‘Ultra’ smartphones like the Galaxy S24 Ultra. That said, HMD Global will be offering the HMD Skyline in more playful colours than the Galaxy S24 Ultra, including a striking pink option that can be seen in the short ad below.
Additionally, @smashx_60 has reiterated that HMD Global has also equipped the device with a large 120Hz display, as well as a 4,900mAh battery and a 108MP main camera that supports optical image stabilization (OIS). Additionally, the company intends to offer a Business Edition variant that will come with an additional two years of Android security patch updates – check out our previous article for more details on that. While a launch date is currently unknown, all the leaked promotional materials so far point to a launch sometime next month.
