The Sims 4 will allow polyamory with its next free update

The game features an expansion focused on love and relationships

After rescuing a feature removed by Maxis, The Sims 4: In Love is now in the news after being announced as a new expansion of the game focused on the romantic world of Love City. Now, Sims will be able to enjoy unforgettable dates in Three neighborhoods full of charmVista Hermosa, a green, pedestrian area; Plaza Mariposa, a suburban residential area; and Nuevo Corazón, an urban neighborhood with skyscrapers and exclusive locations.

Before going into the details of this expansion, it is worth noting that The game will allow all players to benefit from a new Romantic Boundary system which will allow you to customize your Sim’s experience with boundaries and jealousy. This will allow you to define how Sims approach romantic relationships in terms of physical and emotional romantic exclusivity. In this way, Sims will be allowed to date multiple Sims without affecting other relationships.

The Sims 4 will have more love than ever when you can create a profile on the Cupid’s Corner app to find a partnerwhich will allow players to choose unique date locations and activities, such as picnics, sensual dancing, and stargazing. New romantic interactions include a new kiss, a sensual dance, and three new WooHoo locations.

Romantic relationships in The Sims 4: In Love will be classified into four dynamics: Healthy, Passionate, Tense and Unpredictable. These dynamics reflect how Sims interact and how they feel in their relationship. For example, a Healthy relationship involves genuine love and kind actions, while a Passionate relationship focuses on physical intimacy.

The Sims 4: Lovers will be released on July 25, 2024 across multiple platforms including PC, Mac, PlayStation and Xbox to deliver a complete romance experience, allowing players to explore and customize their Sims’ relationships like never before.
