Huawei reveals its first SSD drive PCIe 4.0 of consumption, the eKitStor Xtreme 200 with a capacity of up to 4 TB and speeds of 7.4 GB/s.

Huawei joins a long list of manufacturers designing SSDs for the consumer market, and they do so in a big way with a drive of 7400MB/s And till 4 TB capacity, it is about the eKitStor Xtreme 200which is taking advantage of almost all the bandwidth of the PCIe 4.0 interface.
Huawei is a Chinese technology giant that is best known for its mobile phones, tablets, smartwatches, and other devices. While this is not the first time they have ventured into the field of solid state drives, it is the first one that is focused on the PC world and not the business market.

The SSD eKitStor Xtreme 200 uses the PCIe 4.0 interface with the protocol NVMe 2.0achieving speeds of up to 7400 MB/s sequential read and 6700 MB/s sequential write. The drive also achieves up to 1.1 million IOPS in random read and write. Internally it does not have a DRAM cache, but it has technology (Host Memory Buffer) that would help compensate for this loss. We have no data on the controller used.
The SSD will have capacities of 512GB, 1TB, 2TB and up to 4TBwith prices ranging from $83 to $522. We’ll see if this new SSD manages to make a name for itself in a market where there are many competitors with the most diverse features and prices. We’ll keep you posted on all the news.
