We were visited by the heads of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Bill Nelson and Pamela Melroy, one of the only two women who has commanded a space shuttle. We are trying, among other issues, to ensure that Katya Echazarreta, a young Mexican astronaut, can go to space again. There will be cooperation in fire control, water supply and use of nearby satellites for communication throughout the territory.
Previously, the director of NASA visited the Senate of the Republic, where he stated that in 2026 a woman will set foot on the Moon for the first time, in addition to that in 2040 a crew from the United States will travel to Mars.

The meeting was also attended by Pamela Melroy, one of two women to have commanded a space shuttle, as well as Ken Salazar, US ambassador to Mexico.
