NASHVILLE, Tenn. | Ana-Liese Torian broke a 31-year-old school record and Brianna Cox continued to rewrite a school record as the Alabama A&M University men’s and women’s track and field teams closed out the final day of the Music City Challenge on Saturday at the Vanderbilt Outdoor Track.

Torian qualified for the 100m hurdles earlier in the day at 13.25, but exploded in the finals, with a time of 12.99, shattering the school record. She broke Taiwo Aladefa’s mark of 13.19, which was set in 1993 as Torian won the event.

Cox, who is already the school record holder in the hammer throw, continues to push the distance record in the event. She broke her own mark of 52.83m, which she set at the Tennessee Invite on April 5. On Saturday, she completed a toss of 53.89m in her sixth toss, which gave her a third-place finish.
