The lifeless body of journalist Roberto Carlos Figueroa, host and producer of the program, was located “Here at the Show”which is broadcast on digital platforms.
The discovery occurred in a wooded area at kilometer 58 of the Cuernavaca-Mexico federal highway, near the town of Coajomulco, belonging to the municipality of Huitzilac.
According to information revealed by the victim’s colleagues, the communicator was deprived of his freedom after dropping off his children at the Cuernavaca High School, around 7 in the morning last Friday, April 26.
Hours later, his wife received a call from the alleged kidnappers from Roberto Carlos Figueroa’s phone, and they demanded that she raise a certain amount of money to set him free.
She went to the Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in High Impact Crimes to report what happened and was assisted by investigation agents, who accompanied her to leave the amount collected in an area of the municipality of Ocuilan, State of Mexico.
Despite complying with the deal, the alleged kidnappers told Figueroa’s wife that she would find him in a place in Coajomulco.
After carrying out an operation in the afternoon, it was not until nighttime that the police finally located a white vehicle inside which was the lifeless body of Roberto Carlos Figueroa, known as El Puerco, who had a gunshot wound to the head.
On the side of the car, the body of another man was found, without his identity being revealed so far.
He State Goverment issued a statement in which it condemned the events, called on the Prosecutor’s Office to clarify the crime and pointed out that, through the Victim Assistance Commission Support will be provided to family members.
