Images and videos circulating on social media show the attacker in four different locations before he was tasered in Hainault, east London.

Sky News has mapped out the areas where the attacker was seen.

Police say the incident was reported just before 7am this morning and it took 22 minutes from that moment until the suspect’s arrest.

One of the videos on social media shows the man, dressed in a yellow jumper, outside a residential property on Laing Close holding a long sword. Police cars are already on the scene.

Another video filmed further north on Laing Close shows the suspect again wielding the knife, as an officer approaches him and emergency vehicles are seen.

A vehicle, heavily damaged at the front, is seen in the car park behind the suspect, although it is unclear whether he was involved in the attack.

A third video shows the attacker walking down New North Road and on to Franklyn Gardens holding the knife.

A fourth video shows the attacker being pursued by police as he flees through a car park and down an alleyway before appearing on the roof of a garden building between Thurlow Gardens and Franklyn Gardens.

Thurlow Gardens is around 120m from Laing Close. A video filmed by a CCTV camera on Thurlow Gardens captures the attacker being tasered by police.

While the exact chronology of the attacker’s movements is difficult to determine based solely on these videos and images, it shows where the attack took place.
