The man and the mastermind behind the assassination of Sidhu Moosewala, Goldy Brar, was shot dead in the US as per multiple reports. Brar was attacked by unknown assailants around 5:25 pm when he was standing outside a house with a friend. The attackers suddenly opened fire and fled from the crime scene, Asianet reported.
Goldy Brar not dead
The Fresno police department in California on Wednesday denied the reports that one of the two persons attacked in a shooting incident was Goldy Brar.
“If you are inquiring because of the online chatter claiming that the shooting victim is ‘Goldy Brar,’ we can confirm that this is absolutely not true,” said Lieutenant William J. Dooley in a statement.
“We have received inquiries from around the world this morning as a result of misinformation being spread on social media and online news agencies. We are not sure who started this rumor, but it caught on and spread like wildfire. But again, it isn’t true. The victim is definitely not Goldy,” said Lieutenant William Dooley.
He was also the man who was threatening Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and had links with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi as he was a part of his gang. But who was this man?
His real name was Satinderjeet Brar, who was born in Punjab and was a Canada based gangster. He was named among the top 25 most wanted fugitives by Canada’s BOLO program. Back in 2022, a non-bailable warrant was issued against him for the assassination of District Youth Congress President, Gurlal Singh Pehalwan. India’s Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) designated him as a terrorist.
Salman Khan firing case: Accused Anuj Thapan dies by suicide in Police custody
Accused Anuj Thapan, one of the two arms suppliers, who was involved in the firing case outside Salman Khan’s Bandra residence, has died by suicide in the Mumbai Police custody as per News18.
The accused in DCB CID CR No 39/2024, was rushed to the hospital and was declared dead there.
Former Maharashtra senior police officer PK Jain told NDTV that any death in a lock-up is reported as a murder case. “All the policemen in the police station will be questioned by the CID (criminal investigation department),” Mr Jain said.
