The cafe at the Old Dairy Farm in Wincham is reopening under a new name and new owners.

Cafe Valais, as it will now be known, will be run by husband and wife team Jane and Neil Higgins who recently retired from nursing.

They said: “We are super excited to start our new venture in the wonderful Wincham community and surrounding area!

“A little something to expect when you come to visit Cafe Valais is a warm friendly welcome and hearty wholesome foods freshly made daily.

“We want our guests to have quality food for affordable prices! And we are dog-friendly!”

“We can’t wait to see you all!”

In February, it was announced that the café at the Old Dairy Farm on Green Lane would be closing ‘permanently’.

Fortunately, that has turned out not to be the case and it will reopen on Saturday (May 4).

Jane and Neil have lived in the local area their entire lives.

They recently retired from nursing, having collectively served the NHS for more than 70 years.

Although they loved their careers, Jane in particular has always wanted to run a café offering ‘affordable, quality comfort food’.

The cafe will be offering breakfast, sandwiches and specials along with a variety of hot and cold drinks, including Oreo and Biscoff milkshakes.

It will open every day over the bank holiday weekend before reverting to a weekly Friday, Saturday and Sunday schedule.
