Prince Albert Police identify suspect and victim in murder case

Prince Albert Police have identified the suspect and victim in an arrest for murder on Saturday.

According to the Police Service on May 4 just before 2:00 pm the Prince Albert Police Service attended a residence in the Unit Block of 28th Street West for a family dispute with violence.

On arrival officer’s located a deceased female and arrested 29-year-old Ethan Constant from inside the residence for murder.

According to Police 51-year-old Beverly Constant was pronounced dead at the scene. Everett Constant was subsequently arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

This was the second time in as many days that Ethan Constant was arrested according to a timeline released by Police. On May 3 at 1:17 pm, the Prince Albert Police Service responded to a residence in the Unit Block of 28th Street West to assist Parkland Ambulance. Everett Constant was transported to Victoria Hospital.

Later that day, he assaulted hospital staff. After being medically cleared, he was arrested and held overnight at Prince Albert Police Service cells

The following day, on May 4 at 10:00 am, he was released from police custody with orders to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on May 30, 2024, in relation to the assault on hospital staff.

On Monday, May 6 he made his first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court. The Prince Albert Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Division and Forensic Identification Unit continues to investigate, with an autopsy scheduled for May 6
