MEXICO CITY (apro).- Gen V – the spin-off of the series The Boys – was renewed for a second season in 2023, but now it must continue without one of its protagonists, because the actor Chance Perdomo, died in Last March, at age 27, in a motorcycle accident.

The series is about a school where young superheroes train to compete for the highest ranking in the university and the opportunity to join The Seven, a group of elite superheroes in the series The Boys.

In addition to Gen V, Perdomo worked on the series “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” and “After.” It was in Gen V where Perdomo came to have greater prominence, playing Andre Anderson: a student with magnetic powers. He was accompanied in the series by Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips and Asa German.

The official Gen V account issued a message on their social networks, in which they announced that they will continue with the project, respecting his memory, so they will not look for an actor to replace Perdomo.

Likewise, it was announced that the stories of the second season, whose production began in May, will be reworked.

“We won’t be recasting his role, because no one can replace Chance. Instead, we’ve taken time to retool season 2, which we’ll begin filming this May. “We will honor Chance Perdomo’s legacy this season,” the statement read.
