A PENSIONER who scooped £200,000 on the Postcode Lottery has said she’s terrified the money won’t get to her in time so she can properly enjoy it.

Sadie, who has six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, was in the money when her postcode G69 6DQ came up in the draw.

The widower, 86, said: “The quicker the better in case I die tomorrow.”

The mum-of-three shared bagged her windfall with four other neighbors in Baillieston, Glasgow.

Sadie said she was going to go halves over the winnings with her daughter Sharon, 53, who lives in the flat below her but hadn’t signed up for the draw.

Sadie said: “I’ll half it with my daughter and sort the rest of the family out.”

Sharon called her “the best wee mammy ever”, adding: “I’m over the moon at mum winning. I can’t thank her enough.”

Sadie said she was happy to help Sharon and the other members of her family.

She said: “I’m happy to share it with my daughter. I never ever thought I’d win.

“I’ve never had that amount of money in my life. I’ve never even had half as much as that.

“I’m too old to do anything for myself, so I’ll mostly help out my family.”

She added: “I’ve been to Devon a few times; I went there with my husband Jack. I could go back if I can get someone to go with me. “I might also go and see my daughter who lives in Spain.”

I won £333k on People’s Postcode Lottery… but we’ll wait 14 YEARS to spend it for very important reason

Sharon, who works for Glasgow City Council, danced around with excitement after her mum’s check was revealed.

She whooped: “Woohoo! Here we go! This is brilliant…amazing. We’ll split the check, but I’m gutted I never signed up.

“I don’t know why I never did. Probably because mum was playing, and I was doing other things. I should have, but I’ll start now.”

How People’s Postcode Lottery works

  • People’s Postcode Lottery costs £12 a month to play and there are guaranteed winners every day. People play with their chosen postcode and are automatically entered into all draws. A minimum of 33% from each ticket goes to charity.
  • Every Saturday, £1 million will be shared by one postcode as part of the lottery’s Millionaire Street prize.
  • Players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £1.2 billion for thousands of charities and local good causes.
  • This prize was promoted on behalf of Postcode Animal Trust which supports organizations including Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, PDSA and Medical Detection Dogs.
  • To play the People’s Postcode Lottery, you have to sign up on the website and enter your bank details.
  • You’re then automatically entered into a variety of different draws and prizes are announced every day

Sharon’s now planning a house revamp – and a treat for her partner, blacksmith Paul Gallagher, 54.

Sharon said: “I’ll think of something to do with the money. Redecorate maybe, get a new bathroom. “Paul just wants a special fish supper.”

The news comes after a retired pipe-fitter who won £90,000 on the Postcode Lottery has revealed how he was initially a little worried after landing the prize.

Meanwhile, a map has revealed the UK’s luckiest city for scooping the Postcode Lottery – with more than 400 people scooping the jackpot.

Last month, a man landed a whopping £680,000 thanks to the Postcode Lottery after his life spiraled into tragedy.
