Moscow, May 13 (EFECOM).- Between January and April 2024, Russia achieved an increase of 82.2% in its budgetary income from the oil and gas sectors compared to the same period of the previous year, amounting to 4,157 billion rubles ($45.5 billion), the Russian Ministry of Finance reported this Monday.

The portfolio linked this result to the increase in Russian crude oil prices in the international market and to the tax changes established last February.

The ministry published the corresponding data prior to the execution of the federal budget on its Telegram account.

Finance added that revenue from non-oil and gas sectors was 7.526 trillion rubles ($82.108 million), while total revenue was 11.684 trillion rubles ($127.472 million).

Russian federal budget expenditures in the first four months of the year amounted to 13.168 trillion rubles ($143.662 million).

“In this way, compliance with the federal budget is carried out in accordance with the parameters of the primary structural deficit established in the budget law,” said Economía.EFECOM.
