The connection will be carried out within the framework of the Province’s Connectivity Plan, as announced by Mayor Miguel Aguirre.

The official highlighted that “information is what is most lacking in the Sierras Chicas corridor.”

From a meeting of the municipal authorities with the engineer Ruben Borello DDirector General of Infrastructure of the Government of Córdoba, the local authorities learned that “the province is in charge of the gas work up to the school kitchens, and up to that point the municipality has no costs.”

The educational institutions belong to the province and the trunk pipe passes in front of these buildings. “We will provide the rest of the internal installation together with the cooperators,” said Aguirre.

The case of the IPEM 387 has the internal installation already adapted to natural gas, which significantly reduces costs. It remains to buy some screens two meters high, one per classroom, which is enough for the students.

“The idea is to start with the classrooms and replace the salamanders, which are dangerous for the children,” said the mayor.

Although natural gas will not be able to be enjoyed this winter, Aguirre stated that the work will take about three months, based on what was agreed with the provincial government.

“The neighbor lacks information, there are loans for 48 installments from the Bank of Córdoba, I know it is a high cost, but there are houses that have the infrastructure made of the gas connection, and we have to start somewhere,” encouraged the president. .

Finally, he announced that engineer Borello will soon be in Agua de Oro to give an informative talk on the subject.
