Donald Trump’s youngest son will finally not participate in the Republican National Convention in July.

This Thursday it had been reported that the young man was going to participate as a delegate in Trump’s election as the Republican Party candidate for president at the convention that will take place in Wisconsin.

But a day later, his mother Melania Trump said that was not going to happen.

“While Barron is honored to have been chosen as a delegate for the Republican Party of Florida, he regrettably declines to participate due to prior commitments,” a family spokeswoman said in a statement.

The participation of Barron, 18, had generated interest due to his young age and that until now he had remained on the sidelines of his father’s electoral campaign.

We tell you who Trump’s youngest son is.

Melania’s protégé

Barron Trump, born on March 20, 2006, stands out physically for his tall stature, since measures 201 cm.

Until now his mother, Melania Trump, had largely managed to keep him out of public life.

When his father was sworn in as president in January 2017, Barron, the only child of Donald and Melania’s nearly two-decade marriage, did not immediately move to Washington.

He stayed with his mother in their Trump Tower home in New York to finish his school year before moving in the summer of 2017.

His move to the White House at age 11 made him the first male minor to live there since John F. Kennedy Jr. in 1963.

He attended a private school in Maryland and rarely appeared in public because, according to close sources, his mother strictly protected his privacy.

Comments about her appearance and behavior from her father’s detractors prompted frequent complaints from the first lady’s office, as well as criticism from other children of former presidents, notably Chelsea Clinton.

The family moved to Florida after his time in office and Barron attended a private school in Palm Beach.

Barron is currently studying his last year of high school and will graduate next week.

“Very interested” in politics?

Barron’s inclusion in the Republican Convention was another example of the high involvement in politics of the new generation of the Trump clan.

Florida’s list of 41 delegates also includes his half-siblings Eric, Donald Jr and Tiffany Trumpalthough not to Ivanka, who disassociated herself from her father’s campaign.

Lara Trump, Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, was named co-chair of the Republican National Committee in March.

Almost all of Trump’s children are involved in their father’s campaign ahead of the November elections.

A campaign representative told ABC News that Barron was “very interested in the political process of our nation.”

And the party’s Florida chairman, Evan Power, publicly stated, “We are fortunate to have a great group of grassroots leaders, elected officials and members of the Trump family working together as part of the Florida delegation.”

The Republican Convention

At the party’s convention, which will take place in Milwaukee from July 15 to 18, Trump will be confirmed as the Republican candidate for the November presidential election.

The former president has achieved the nomination by winning the primary elections at the state level, including that of Florida.

Each of the country’s 50 states and territories sends delegates to the convention to officially vote for their presidential candidate.

In this case, it is expected to be a mere formality, since there is no contender with the possibility of competing with Trump.

The legal proceedings involving Trump are marking his campaign.

The former president has already won 2,037 delegates in the Republican primaries, many more than the 1,215 needed to win the nomination.

On the other hand, President Joe Biden will be confirmed as the Democratic candidate at his party’s convention in Chicago in August, setting up the first rematch of a US presidential election since 1956, when Republican Dwight Eisenhower defeated the Democrat for the second time. Adlai Stevenson.

Trump’s current campaign is marked by his legal battles, as he faces dozens of criminal charges in four separate cases.

In his first trial, which is ongoing in New York City, the judge has given him special permission to attend Barron’s graduation next week.
