The president of the Argentine Agrarian Federation (FAA), Carlos Achetonidied in the early hours of this Friday as a result of a traffic accident that he suffered when he was driving in his vehicle on the National Route 188between the Buenos Aires towns of Florentino Ameghino and Coronel Granada.
“Argentine Agrarian Federation regrets to report the death this morning of its president, Carlos Achetoni, in a car accident. This unfortunate event mourns and saddens the leadership and all the federated members.“, specified the ruralist group through a statement.
“From the entity we accompany and hug Mary, her children and her entire family in these devastating moments. We will always remember fighting for small and medium producers and regional economieswhich has represented so much and so well,” the FAA completed.
According to what was reviewed by The Web CompassAchetoni was driving in a Fiat Palio that collided with the back of a truck transporting peanutsat kilometer 304 of the aforementioned route.
At the time of the collision, the two vehicles were traveling in the same direction. Meanwhile, after the impact, the trailer of the truck – which came from the Cordoban city of La Carlota – overturned on the road, with Achetoni being the only fatal victim.
