The National Gas Regulatory Entity (ENERGAS) modified the rate that natural gas subdistributors can charge large users (GU) and CNG stations for the use of their facilities.
Through Resolution 230/2024, the standard focuses on the relationships and rates between Distributors, Subdistributors, Large Users (GU), and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Stations, and It occurs in the midst of the conflict with this sector due to the cut of supply.
Likewise, the current resolution temporarily approves a new rate of $1.85 per m³ for Subdistributors that use their facilities to supply gas to Large Users or CNG Stations, effective from its publication in the Official Gazette.
The key points of the resolution
* The previous rate was $0.290512 per cubic meter.
* The new rate is $1.85 per cubic meter.
* The new rate is temporary and will be in effect until the comprehensive rate review of the natural gas sector is completed.
* The modification is due to the fact that the costs of the subdistributors have increased to a significantly lesser extent than the income linked to the tariff categories to which they mainly provide the distribution service (residential and General Service P). (DIB)
