With the closure of the Casilla Board of Directors, the filling out of the Scrutiny and Computation Minutes and the transmission of the digital capture of the same, at 8:00 p.m. on June 2, the operation of the Electoral Results Program began Preliminaries (PREP) of the Federal Electoral Process (PEF) 2023-2024.
In the data center of the Technical Unit of Computer Services (UTSI), of the National Electoral Institute (INE), with the participation of members of the Internal Control Body, the Electoral Official and the presence of a Notary Public, the Official Portal was opened of PREP, which can be followed at the link: https://prep2024.ine.mx/publicacion/nacional/landing
As part of the PREP opening procedure, the initial validation of the Computer System and its Database was carried out, which was carried out by the Metropolitan Autonomous University, Iztapalapa Unit and which served as the auditing entity.
The PREP will update the information on the publication page approximately every five minutes, so that the general population and the media can learn about and monitor the Program in real time during the 24 hours that it will operate and perform its functions.
Citizens can also additionally choose to consult the PREP results on the internet portal of the media of their choice, as long as it is among the disseminators authorized by the INE.
It should be remembered that the results presented by PREP are preliminary, have an informative nature and are not definitive; Therefore, they have no legal effects. It also does not provide definitive results of the vote nor does it replace the district counts, which will begin this Wednesday, June 5.
