Two brothers and two children, who were the children of each of them and cousins ​​to each other, died when the utility vehicle in which they were traveling collided head-on with a cargo truck coming from Brazil, on Route 40, near the town. from Villa La Angostura, in Neuquén.

The collision was head-on and occurred in the afternoon hours of this Saturday in the section between Villa la Angostura and Dina Huapi-Bariloche. As a result of the impact, the truck was thrown about 60 meters, but remained on the road, without overturning.

Instead, the truck did a scissor effect and was stuck on the asphalt strip. The victims were identified as Lisandro “Licha” Linares, 31, and Ezequiel Linares, 29, in addition to their respective children: Tahiel, two years old, and Martina, six years old.

The weather factor would have had an influence at the time of the crash. There was snow on the route already about 30 kilometers from Villa La Angostura, in the direction of the intersection with Route 237.

“There could be some relationship with this incident,” admitted the head of the Villa La Angostura Volunteer Fire Department, Raúl Tierno, to the La Mañana de Neuquén site.

He added that “the truck driver hasn’t commented anything yet because he is shocked. We still do not know what the dynamics of the accident were like, that will be determined by the experts from the city of Neuquén.”
