“A Chinese Bridge” is an event that seeks to promote cultural and linguistic exchange, with the main objective of expanding the dissemination of the Chinese language, awakening interest in learning it among young people and consolidating knowledge of Chinese culture.

After the presentation of each person’s speeches in Chinese and the successful answer to the questions about Chinese culture in Chinese language, Francesca Baili Barrionuevo, from the 9 de Julio Institute of Morteros, culminated her presentation with a dance, earning her the first place and secured a trip to China, where he will represent Argentina in the international stage of the contest.

The event took place on May 27 and was organized by the Confucius Institute of the National University of La Plata (UNLP).

In addition, Joaquín Salas, also from the Instituto 9 de Julio de Morteros, added to his outstanding performance a musical presentation with a flute and obtained second place in the competition. For her part, Morena Yanil Casas, from the National School of Monserrat, who in addition to her speech gave a Tai Chi presentation, was recognized with an honorary award that reflected her effort and commitment to learning Chinese. .

The students were accompanied by UNC Confucius Institute Director Mirian Carballo, Co-Director Chen Lin, and Ceci Professor Li Xinkun.

Effort and dedication

The joint work of the UNC Confucius Institute and the students was arduous. It focused not only on linguistic knowledge, but also on a deep understanding of Chinese culture. This dedication was key to achieving such high levels of competition.
