Today, ZeniMax Online Studios and Bethesda Softworks have released the long-awaited Gold Road chapter for PC and Mac. The Elder Scrolls Online (TESO). This new chapter offers 30 hours of content in the main quest, a new area called the Western Forest, an innovative writing system and an exciting story starring a previously unknown Daedric princess.
Additionally, for the first time in ESO history, there will be a special in-game celebration for those who purchase Gold Road, inviting all participants to unlock a new reward.
Gold Road Chapter Details
Notary System: Gold Road introduces a completely new system that allows players to create and customize their abilities through unique scripts. This system offers greater versatility and power, allowing players to tailor their gaming experience to their preferences.
Western Forest Zone: This new area, located on the southwestern border of Cyrodiil, includes the thriving Imperial Province not seen since The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Players will be able to explore the Golden Path, Aurora Forest and the city of Skingrad, taking on side quests, world bosses, caves and public dungeons.
New rewards and improvements: Gold Road is packed with unique achievements, items, and collectibles, including 10 item sets, three mythic items, shards for the new Tribute Stories benefactor’s deck, and a new type of collectible, skill styles. Also included is a new trial for groups of 12 players, the Lucent Citadel, where players will explore an ancient Daedric chamber in the kingdom of Cárcava, facing unprecedented encounters and searching for the mysterious arcane knot.
Update 42
Parallel to the launch of Gold Road, update 42 arrives as a free patch for the base game. This update includes significant improvements to the game’s mail system, such as a revamped interface, new categories, and better mail sorting. Additionally, the Adventurer of a Decade achievement is introduced, commemorating the 10th anniversary of ESO, granting the “broken glory” skin to those who complete certain quest lines, including those in Gold Road.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road is available in four different editions:

Collection editions include the base game, the Gold Road chapter, and all previous chapters. The Upgrade editions are designed for those who already own ESO and the previous chapters, providing exclusive access to the new Gold Road content. This new chapter is available today on PC and Mac, and will be released on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on June 18.
