NEW PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — An arrest has been made in connection with the homicides of two teenagers who were found dead last fall in Schuylkill County.

Lamour Branch, 19, of Port Carbon, was arrested Wednesday, Pennsylvania State Police said.

He is accused of killing Angelito Caraballo, 16, and Hunter Mock, 18, both of New Philadelphia, according to state police.

The teens’ bodies were found on October 10, 2023 in a wooded area outside of New Philadelphia.

Doorbell camera video shows the last time the two friends were seen, just before they went out for the night. Two days later, their bodies were found in a heavily wooded area known as “Sanchez,” near Ferndale Road.

The Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office ruled their deaths homicides.

Unsealed search warrants showed that two witnesses told police they were with the two victims the night of their deaths, but each blamed the other for the shooting.

Investigators had been tight-lipped about the investigation. State police had recently said they were awaiting the results of new forensic tests that had been presented.

Police have not yet commented on a possible motive or additional details about the murders.

State Police plan a news conference for Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. Watch the live stream on WFMZ.com or on the free 69News app.
