A 25-year-old girl was accused of “aggression and harm” after throwing a milkshake in the British populist’s face on Tuesday Nigel Farage.
The incident occurred on Tuesday outside a pub after the leader of the British anti-immigration party Reform UK inaugurated his campaign as a candidate for the constituency of the English city of Clacton for the elections of the July 4th.
As shown in images broadcast by local media, while the controversial politician was leaving the establishment, a woman threw a banana smoothie at him.
After receiving the liquid, Farage quickly left with his campaign team.
The Sun reported that while fleeing the scene, the woman insulted the candidate. However, after being asked which Farage policies she disagreed with, she responded: “I don’t want to say anything else.”
“The charges relate to an incident in which a drink was thrown at a man in the Marine Parade East area of Clacton at around 2.10pm (09.10am Chile time) on Tuesday 4 June,” the police said. Essex County Police in a statement.
According to Agencia EFE, the aggressor was identified as Victoria Thomas Bowen, who must appear before Colchester court on Tuesday, July 2 after being accused of assault by beating and criminal damage.
It should be noted that this is not the first time that Farage has experienced an incident of this type since in 2019 a subject had already thrown a banana and salted caramel milkshake at him in Newcastle.
