Bad news for those Campo de Gibraltar fans who profess religion morantist: the right-hander from La Puebla has made the decision to interrupt the season after relapsing into his psychiatric problems, with no return date but not definitively. The surprising news was announced this Friday by Vicente Zabala de la Serna in The world after speaking with Pedro Marques, the Sevillian’s representative, ensuring that the right-hander lives immersed “in a deep sadness”.
The manager and the bullfighter regret this situation and the problems caused to the companies and fans but, as Marques explains, “it is a matter of force majeure and the important thing is the health of José Antonio and return to the arena when he is in a position to do so.” The bullfighter “does not respond to the antidepressants” and also “his legs fail him and he feels as if he has no strength.”
The decision causes a real “break” for the bullfighting fairs of Algeciras and La Línea, where Morante was announced. In the case of Las Palomas, on Friday June 28th, in a head-to-head with Roca Rey and bulls from Núñez del Cuvillo. In El Arenal, on Saturday July 20thalso with Roca Rey, Pablo Aguado and bulls from Parralejo.
