A little less than 7 months have passed since their last visit to Chile, one of the iconic bands of Argentine rock, Babasonicshad a big reunion with the Chilean public, who for the first time after years of visits to our country, gathered at the Movistar Arena. With two hours reviewing their greatest hits, the group made the rainy Saturday night an incredible and unimaginable party.

As a letter of introduction and punctually on schedule, at 8:00 p.m. the Chilean pop artist Francisco Victoria He took the stage to present part of his work to an audience that was already beginning to settle in the stalls and court. The talented singer, producer and composer who performed this year at the Lollapalooza festival reviewed some of his hits from his albums Garment and Woundthose that have collaborations that include great exponents of pop music such as Francisca Valenzuela and Juliana Gattas.

After 9 p.m. the group led by Adrian Dargelos on the scene to enchant people with their electric sounds wrapped between powerful riffs. It started like this Babasonics his show with the theme “Chop”, while Dárgelos danced with his arms in the air, crossing the stage from side to side, in the middle of a tumultuous smoke that enveloped the entire stage. Then they continued with “Fizz”which caused screams from the audience while the singer flirted between smiles and movements.

One of the hits from his latest work, TrenchDo not be late, “The left of the night”accompanied by colored lights that gave strength to the show. “In Private”, “Cretinus”, “Without My Devil” and “Farewell in Pompeii” They marked the first part of the show prior to greeting the Chilean public and thanking the fans, who at that time were already in ecstasy.

The dancing was present when the band played “Irresponsible”, the classic stainless steel that is part of their album Infame and that demonstrates the transcendence and transversality of the band. As expected, at that moment the Movistar Arena became a voice singing the chorus of the song, “Little by little we went crazy”. Without much effort, Babasonics managed to reconnect the public by performing “Torment”, “The last straw” and “Luxury”, all received in a good way. The vocalist maintained interaction with his audience at all times, posing freely in front of the fans’ cameras, giving them knowing looks, generating connection and closeness with those present.

Then they presented another gem from their most recent work, “Anubis”, which sounds like hypnotic sounds combined with distorted voices that intertwine with the pure voice of the vocalist. The performance continues with “Bye bye”, “Empty”, “Laughter” and “Curtis”. The Argentine group made all the spaces of the Arena vibrate, what was experienced was a carnival in its maximum splendor, and this was clear when they performed “Microdancing” and “Popular Festival”. The space hosted a musical and sensory party, accompanied by sounds and colored lights along with different hypnotic images on the screens that made the presentation irresistible to the ears, eyes and minds of those of us who were in the place. And if it were about big songs, Babasonics he knows it very well. With an incredible play of red and orange lights the theme began “Little whore”, which was received as an anthem worthy of legends. Then it came “Mimes are mimes”also part of the latest album, a song that has made it clear that the trans-Andean band is not afraid to renew itself.

Without stopping it happened “Paradox”and after this song another of the highest moments of the show, the duo of songs taken from their acclaimed album Last night, “Charismatic” and “Mare”, the Movistar was transformed into a karaoke that, together with the raised hands of the public and the jumps, chanted the second chorus as if the second voices had been rehearsed with the thousands of people who packed the place. There is no doubt that Argentines are one of the symbols of romanticism of the 2000s, and that was the case with “Ruby”one of his classics to dedicate in times of love. “The Spear”, “Deléctrico” and “The Question” They were the dance classics to close the show.

Although everything suggested that it was a farewell by the band made up of Dárgelos, Diego Rodríguez, Diego Tuñón, Mariano Roger, Tuta Torres and Diego Castellano. The audience wanted more and more, the band took a couple of minutes to return to the stage, to continue demonstrating the trajectory of more than 30 years that has made them the flagship of sonic rock. “Ingredient”, “Scar” and finally “And” They were the three songs that put the finishing touch on Babasónico’s return to our country. Roger threw his fingers to the crowd while dancing and smiling. And Dárgelos spent a few extra minutes walking around the stage to thank the attendees.

This is how the big night ended. Babasonics, who for the first time experienced a show in one of the largest venues in our country. As if it were home, the trans-Andeans captivated everyone who came to see them and sing their hits.
