Despite his best efforts, Verstappen extended his lead, leaving Norris to defend his position against Russell and Hamilton. A second safety car period allowed Hamilton to make a pit stop to change tyres, giving him the advantage over his rivals. Russell, however, made a pit stop to change his tires, losing a position to Piastri in the process. The race ended with Verstappen taking the win, followed by Norris in second and Russell in third. Other notable performances include those of Alonso, Stroll and Ricciardo, who finished in the first positions. Charles Leclerc, winner of the previous race in Monaco, had a disappointing race due to technical problems with his Ferrari.
