After driving under the influence of alcohol, a man caused his co-pilot to lose his life this Monday after dozing at the wheel, which caused him to crash into the metal barrier of the road, which the van in which they were traveling crossed.

It was on Federal Highway 57, in the municipality of Arteaga, where a Ford 250 truck driven by César Daniel was traveling north, in the company of a man whose generals are unknown.

According to the first reports, both were returning from a celebration in the Puerto México ejido, so they were under the influence of alcohol and after the evidence found, it is presumed that they were drinking inside the truck.

Upon arriving at kilometer 231 of the Los Chorros section, the driver dozed at the wheel, which is why he swerved and ended up hitting the metal barrier, which crossed the truck and instantly took the life of the co-pilot.

The accident was reported to the State Emergency System 911, and paramedics from Federal Roads and Bridges (CAPUFE) arrived at the scene, who upon assessing the crew confirmed the death of the co-pilot, while César Daniel, due to the serious injuries he had, He was transferred in code red to a hospital in Saltillo.

Officers from the National Guard Highway Division also met at the scene, who flagged and cordoned off the area, so that the Criminal Investigation agents of the State Attorney General’s Office could carry out the corresponding procedures as well as collect evidence. , which were integrated into the research folder that was opened.

Once they concluded, the body was ordered to be removed to be transferred to Semefo, where the legal autopsy will be performed to determine the causes of death.

It is expected that in the next few hours relatives will come to identify and claim the body of the deceased, in order to begin the funeral services.
