Donald Trump expressed surprise at not having Taylor Swift’s support for the elections

This Thursday, the former president of the United States, Donald Trump, expressed his surprise in the Capitol with his party’s legislators, at the lack of support for the singer Taylor Swift for the November elections.

Trump recalled that during his term (2017-2021) he signed a law that protected singer-songwriters and producers in the music industry, according to some congressmen present.

The media The Hill and cnn reported that Trump questioned the possibility of the pop star supporting Joe Biden. Although Swift has not spoken out in this election cycle, in the previous election he endorsed the current president.

According to American publications, Trump commented: “Why would she support that fool? “She doesn’t even know how to get off the stage,” according to reports.

Taylor Swift has become one of the most influential celebrities and her support could be crucial in these elections. Trump believes Swift should support him for passing the Music Modernization Act, which was welcomed by the industry.

This is not the first time Trump has spoken out about Swift. In the book Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took America Through the Looking Glassthe former president praised her talent and beauty, although he acknowledged that she probably does not sympathize with him.

This Thursday, Trump visited the Capitol for the first time since the 2021 attack. In his meeting with lawmakers, he also addressed issues such as abortion and other key issues for the election campaign. His visit came two weeks after he was found guilty of 34 criminal offenses related to falsifying business records in the case of adult film actress Stormy Daniels.
