The Attorney General’s Office charged Dayssuris del Carmen Vásquez Castrobetter known as Day Vásquez, for the crime of unlawful violation of personal data.
The victim would have been Génesis Olave García, one of the best friends of Laura Ojeda, the current romantic partner of Nicolás, the eldest son of President Gustavo Petro.
In the judicial action, it is claimed that Day Vásquez would have paid to “hack” Génesis Olave’s cell phone to access her personal information and social networks.in order to monitor his conversations with Laura Ojeda, to find out if there was infidelity on the part of the son of the first president of Colombia.
The hearing against Day Vásquez was held due to the complaint filed against him by Genesis Olavefollowing the revelations that have been made in the investigation of the Petro Burgos case, thanks to which it was known that she was the victim of violation of her personal data.
Olave García denounced prosecutor Mario Burgos, who is handling the case, for prevarication by omission, since according to her, her effects had been omitted. According to the woman, this prosecutor has the reports that prove the illegal interceptions since June 26, 2023, but he only charged Day Vásquez with the fact that the current partner of Nicolás Petro had violated the data.
The hearing was reserved at the request of Olavewho maintained that she is not a public person and that she does not feel comfortable because she has been exposed to the media during the process against Vásquez.
At the end of the procedure, Prosecutor Burgos announced that he will carry out a process against Olave García for the crime of false reportingbut will continue to investigate the process.
