The Mexican Under-23 Team returns home after finishing his participation in the Maurice Revello Tournament which takes place in France and then lose 1-3 against the U-19 team of Japan at the Stade D’Honneur Mallemort this Friday.
In this way, the team led by Ricardo Cadena had to settle for the consolation prize of sixth place; Ramiro Árciga scored the only goal of the match after scoring in the 84th minute and after coming on in the 58th minute for Ricardo Monreal.
For the Japan U-19 National Team, Soma Kanda scored in the 20th minute, Kento Shiogai in the 67th minute and Hisatsugu Ishii in injury time in the 90th + 7th minute within the fiftieth edition of the tournament.
Mexico was far from the second place it obtained in the last edition in 2023 when it lost in the Final 4-1 against the Panama National Team and even further from the title it won in 2012 weeks before the gold medal at the London Olympic Games .
