With the arrival of the intersemester period, Tu Bienestar offered an offer of activities so that our Externadistas can enjoy their vacation time and continue accumulating hours of University Wellbeing.

During the first week of June, a total of 9 activities were carried out, including film forums, dance workshops and spaces for the artistic expression of the students. The reception of these spaces was quite good, achieving the expected number of attendees and generating moments of fun for the student community.

During the film forum days, proposed by the Sports area, it was possible to appreciate two sides of the Olympic competitions: the Olympic Games in form and the Paralympic Games. In the respective documentaries, the attendees showed the background on which each athlete harvests his or her aspirations and carries out an entire journey to reach the professional level of the sport that he or she practices.

The session dedicated to the Paralympics was very emotional, as impressive cases of self-improvement after calamities were reviewed, as well as the stories of people who were born with conditions that destined them for these Games. It is highlighted that both competitions have the same weight in terms of the recognition generated by being champion of any of the categories.

In the Alebrijes Painting Workshop, the students decorated small animal figures, while learning about the implications of this Mexican tradition. The sentimental value given to the figure and the emotions that can be expressed through colors, paint patterns and the animal itself that is chosen were explained, since several options were presented such as cats, octopuses, butterflies, among others.

During the dance workshops, the participants enjoyed Salsa and Break Dance with some of the University’s dance teachers. This activity was a space to release the accumulated load of the week of midterms and begin the intersemester period in a dynamic and lively way. Thus, in the Solar classrooms, our students received very entertaining classes to the sound of music, creating an atmosphere of energy and camaraderie that boosted the connection between the participants and strengthened the university spirit.

”I had a lot of fun in the Salsa workshop. The space that Bienestar Universitario provided was great and I hope they do it more often,” said a student from the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Business Administration.

From the Universidad Externado de Colombia and Bienestar Universitario we invite all our Externadistas to attend and enjoy the workshops and activities that will be held during the weeks of June.

Live the U, live Your Wellbeing!
