Bastoni 8 – Three years ago he was on the team, but not a starter. This time around he’s the leader of the Azzurri defense. He scored a vital equalizer soon after Albania’s opener and was simply perfect defensively. Italy’s new wall.
Dimarco 5 – The approach against Bosnia and Herzegovina had been entirely wrong with two poor passes. The same happened this time with a disgraceful throw-in that cost Italy a goal after 23 seconds. He did try to make up for it but it wasn’t entirely successful. (83′ Darmian N/A).
