Justina Bustos was on the program Juana Viale as a guest and spoke about one of the worst experiences of her life. Although she suffered hell years ago, she was able to take advantage of the situation and turned it into material that invites us to reflect on various issues of humanity.

“Something happened to me during the pandemic, I don’t know if you knew, that I went to film a movie for Netflix. I went to the Mauritius Islands, which is in South Africa, off Madagascar. It’s a very small island. It’s full of sharks, but it’s beautiful in its geography”he began explaining.

On the other hand, the actress recounted the worst of her experience in Africa: “As soon as I arrived I tested positive for COVID and they locked me in a hospital, where I stayed there for 33 days in that same room. I couldn’t even feel the sun. If I wanted to do it I had to put my hand out of a window”.

“In that same room other women came and suddenly I was with 3 women from India and a Spanish woman. The Spanish woman is Yolanda Ramos, a very funny actress who was going with me to record the same project. She (the Spanish woman) fell ill a week after I did it, but it went away after 15 days.”he added.

WHAT DID JUSTINA BUSTOS DO AFTER HER EXPERIENCE DURING THE PANDEMIC

“With Yolanda I felt better, I was there for a little while because she is very funny and we also spoke the same language. With the Indian women we spoke in English. I started to film that whole experience because everything caught my attention, from the light, each one of the women with their incredible stories. We made a kind of community”Justina said.

“I made a documentary about that, called Alone in Paradise. I was filming the experience, because I film everything that catches my attention. When I left there I realized that I had quite interesting material. It’s a documentary about “solitude, existence and the power of community”hill.
