Venom 3 Filming in City of Light | The filming of Venom 3 in Alicante leaves 35 million euros in the Community

City of Light is now fully operational. The Aguamarga studios have returned to their best version and already have the ‘complete’ sign posted for the rest of the year. During the next few months, numerous productions will come, which will leave significant economic impacts on the province and the Community.

One of the latest data that has been known is the impact that the filming of Venom 3 in the province and in the film studios has had in the Community. According to data from the Department of Tourism, the filming of the Columbia Pictures (Sony) blockbuster has left 35 million euros in the territory.

In addition, the film has had a positive impact on employment. «It must be taken into account that this superproduction, which began last February, has involved the hiring of 570 people, with a labor expense of more than 2.2 million euros, 22,300 overnight stays and services required from 325 different suppliers» , explained the councilor of the area, Nuria Montes.

Throughout the month of February, the Aguamarga studios hosted the filming of part of the third part of the Venom saga. During this period, different characters that will appear in the film could be seen, showing some familiar faces from other films, such as one of Spider-Man’s villains.

Montes recalled that “the Generalitat has strongly invested in promoting the audiovisual industry and attracting international and national filming to the City of Light and the rest of the Community.”

Specifically, to date, seven films have been shot in film studios, leaving behind a million-dollar impact on Alicante and the Community. Furthermore, the studies are already complete, which “demonstrates the extraordinary interest that the facilities are generating in the audiovisual sector,” said the counselor.

The movie

The third installment of Marvel’s symbiote is directed by Kelly Marcel and stars Tom Hardy. Along with him, Peggy Lu, Stephen Graham, Juno Temple, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rhys Ifans and Alanna Ubach complete the main cast. It will hit theaters on October 25, 2024.
