The operation of the vehicle restriction program known as Pico y Placa changed since January 10, 2023 in the country’s city.

Private cars will no longer be divided into odd or even numbers, depending on the ending of their license plate, but rather in consecutive numbers, that is, the first group will be made up of those cars whose last digit on the license plate is 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 and the second group those that end in 6, 7, 8, 9 or 0.

Now, private vehicles with ending 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 will not circulate on even days. While those that end in 6, 7, 8, 9 or 0 will not be able to travel on odd days.

The Peak and Plate schedule will remain the same for private vehicles: from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.Monday through Friday, except for weekends and holidays.
