In one of the duels of the round of 16 of the Chile Cup, Palestino beat Santiago City 4-0 in the regional phase for the north-central zone of the tournament. The duel played in San Joaquín showed the great difference between both teams.

The Baisanos opened the account in the first minute of play with a header from the captain José Bizama, who in the first play of the game, connected and opened the scoring. During the remaining minutes, the visitors got closer to the rival goal, but went to half-time with the lead 1-0.

The rest of the goals came in the second half. At 52 minutes, Pablo Palacio scored 2-0 and five minutes later, Fernando Cornejo scored 3-0 for Palestino. The person in charge of closing the scoring was Bryan Carrasco who scored the final 4-0 in the 61st minute.

With this result, Santiago City was eliminated from the Chile Cup, and Palestinian awaits his rival in the quarterfinals that will come from the meeting between Barnechea and Deportes Limache. This duel is scheduled for this Monday, June 17 at 7:00 p.m. at the Nicolás Chahuán in La Calera.
